"We aim to minimise the emotional and financial harm associated with separation by providing honest and clear advice with a view to resolving matters at the earliest opportunity."

Alexandra Finemore

Senior Associate

Alex completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in Psychology) at Monash University.  She conducted research in family law under the supervision of the Honourable Nahum Mushin and later published an article in the Law Institute Journal titled, “The (fe)male conundrum”. The article brought to light the challenges facing children with gender identity disorder and proposed reform to the law.

Following her admission Alex has gained experience in a broad range of matters including wills & estates, property law, criminal law and commercial litigation before deciding to practice exclusively in family law.

For most clients, separation is extremely stressful. Alex is passionate about helping clients to resolve their family law matters by providing honest and clear advice. If the matter cannot be resolved by agreement, Alex regularly assists clients with preparing court documents and appears in the Family Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Magistrates’ Court of Victoria.
